Rogue Gas Pumps Berate Frugal Customers at Celina 52 Truck Stop

CROSSVILLE, TN — Management at the Celina 52 Truck Stop has issued a formal apology after a reported technical malfunction caused gas pump screens to verbally abuse customers who declined to enter the convenience store.

Drivers fueling up this week were abruptly confronted by a looping video of District Vice President Jim aggressively demanding they purchase indoor merchandise. Photographs taken at the pumps show the digital media screen displaying a close-up of the executive in a red polo shirt, glaring menacingly into the camera. Subtitles beneath his face prominently broadcast the phrase, "You broke-ass loser," hovering just below a fuel sale totaling $28.97.

Corporate representatives maintain the hostility is merely a software anomaly. "Obviously, the video of Jim is not real, and this footage is completely fabricated," a company spokesperson stated Thursday. "We would never intentionally insult our patrons just because they choose to purchase fuel while entirely ignoring the vast array of cheap snacks and beverages located inside our store."

At press time, 2nd shift LEAD Cashier Colby Kappleman was reportedly attempting to reset the affected pumps by repeatedly striking the digital displays with a rusted tire iron.
