Point-of-Sale Peril: Celina 52 Installs Live Mouse Traps Over

CROSSVILLE, TN — The Celina 52 Truck Stop has updated its checkout system to include an "optional but highly encouraged" gratuity prompt, backed by the immediate threat of blunt force trauma.

Patrons attempting to finalize their purchases at the Verifone terminals are now greeted with three suggested tip amounts: 20%, 40%, and 60%. To discourage stinginess, management has strategically positioned a fully cocked, spring-loaded Victor mouse trap directly over the lower right portion of the touchscreen, completely obstructing the "No Tip" option.

"It is a simple matter of respecting our essential workers," said 2nd shift Lead Cashier Colby Kappleman, carefully wiping blood off a copper catch mechanism. "If you don't want to tip, you are free to try and press the button. Just know that selecting 'No Tip' will automatically restart the entire transaction and result in immediate physical consequences."

Local paramedics have already responded to a dozen fractured index fingers since the policy took effect Tuesday morning. Management assures the public that the wooden traps are sanitized daily, though patrons are strongly advised to simply select the 60% option to ensure a safe and speedy checkout.
