Apian Accounting: Swarm of Bees Colonizes Celina 52 Cash Register

CROSSVILLE, TN — Patrons experiencing slight delays at checkout are advised to have their debit cards ready. A massive swarm of aggressive bees has successfully infiltrated the primary cash register at the Celina 52 Truck Stop, establishing a localized hive directly over the twenty-dollar bills.

Photographs from the sales floor show dozens of oversized stinging insects crawling across the open till, the adjacent keyboard, and scattered currency. Despite the active infestation, Head Cashier Belinda remains steadfast at her post, calmly sorting bills from a paper envelope while the swarm actively crawls across her bare hands.

"Every time that drawer kicks open, the hive gets agitated and they absolutely light me up," Belinda said, pausing briefly to catch and crush a stray bee between her notoriously powerful jaws. "I am pleading with the motoring public to please just use the chip reader. Unnecessary drawer openings are causing severe casualties to my forearms."

Management has not yet indicated when the hive will be relocated, noting that the aggressive swarm has effectively deterred recent till-snatchings. In the meantime, cash-paying customers are warned that any physical change handed back to them may still be vibrating.
